Time for You

I had a wake up call last week.


I am learning Tai Chi, and have a lesson every two weeks. I have found it difficult to train in between sessions with all the things that I do crowding in.


I received a call from my Tai Chi teacher, a lovely man. Essentially he said 'I am not a personal trainer and do not want to assume that role, so you may think it better if you come to my group sessions'.


There would be nothing wrong with group sessions, but I enjoy my one one ones.


Since then I have carved out a few hours every day for 'me time', where I do what I choose to do, without interruption from the outside world. That includes my Tai Chi practise.


With all the stresses in life it is important to remember that we all need down time where we can be free to do things that have meaning for us, and to schedule that in for each day.


I am ery grateful to my Tai Chi teacher for this reminder.
